Better education. Stronger communities.
Qwest 1% Back to Schools is an easy way to support the communities and schools you care about - at no extra cost to you. As a participant, you can select a school district to receive a donation from Qwest and feel proud that you're helping to bring new technologies like SMART Boards and computers into classrooms in your chosen district.

At Qwest, we're passionate about giving back to the communities where we do business. Our Qwest for Education programs are grounded in our belief that every child deserves a great education, and that every community benefits when kids have more opportunities to learn and grow.

In the end, this program will be a strong as you make it. Please join today. It's a great way to support schools and feel better than ever about paying your bill.

Q: What is the Qwest 1% Back to Schools program?:
A: This program enables Qwest customers participating in Paperless Billing and AutoPay Electronic Funds Transfer to support education by selecting a school district to receive a donation from Qwest. The donation will be equal to one percent of the customer's monthly bill.

Q: Q: How much does it cost to participate?
A: Your participation doesn't cost you anything. The donation comes from Qwest.

Q: Which school districts are eligible?
A: Every public school district in the Qwest 14-state region is eligible. Private and parochial schools are not eligible. You'll have access to the full list, complied from each state's Department of Education, when you sign up.

Q: How will the donations be used?
A: School districts will be encouraged to use the donations from the Qwest 1% Back to Schools program to promote technology in their classrooms.

Q: Can customers donate to a school district where their grandkids or other family members live?
A: Absolutely. Any public school district in Qwest's service area is eligible.

Q: Can a customer allocate their donation to multiple school districts?
A: No. Customers must select a single public school district to receive the donation.

Q: Who is eligible to join the program?
A: Any residential Qwest customer can participate.

Q: Why do customers have to sign up for Paperless Billing and AutoPay Electronic Funds Transfer?
A: Just as we want to enable schools to take advantage of the latest technologies, we want our customers to experience the convenience of Paperless Billing and AutoPay Electronic Funds Transfer, which save time, paper and stamps. This way, our program helps schools, customers and the environment - all at the same time.

Q: What's the fine print?
A: Our program is simple and straightforward, but here are a few details you might want to know. Your participation in Qwest 1% Back to Schools is not eligible for tax benefits. We'll send checks to school districts twice a year. And your donation will be equal to one percent of your bill before taxes.
